2/3/18 - This week's blog I wanted to say what I think about the quote "We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses." Abraham Lincoln.

This famous quote by Abraham Lincoln says to not be ashamed by rose bushes that have thorns, but instead that everyone should be pleased by the fact that thorn bushes have roses.
Now, some people might think that this quote is saying to be happy that there are thorn bushes, but that is not the full meaning of it. In my point of view, it means to not be ashamed of the world we live in, on what you look like, or at the fact that you didn't get accepted to a college. Instead, start to realize that you live in this world, you shouldn't care on what you look like, and that you took the chance to apply to a college. The happy things are on the side where you think that there are risks you took, things to be made, and a voice to get heard.
In this world, there are people who only look at what you didn't make; that you didn't get a 4.0 this year and got close to it. Everyone makes goals and the ones that aren't made are the ones that will get achieved in a different part of your life; the part where you need it most.
I agree that all people should look on the opposite side of sad, mad, and frustrated, and to look at what you can do and have a chance to do in the future.
2/11/18 - This week's blog I wanted to express my feelings on
how grateful I am for being alive and in this world.

What if you weren't alive, in this world, and hadn't met the friends/family you have? Well, life would be very different for one thing. It would be different in ways where your friends/family you have now would be in a different environment and would have a different mind set.
People think about you, even if you don't know they are. If the certain people who think about you didn't, it would change what they do next in life.
Say that someone was thinking about your birthday and that made them remind themselves that they wanted to get you a gift. For instance, they might go into their car and start driving to a store to get you a gift. The course of events would be very different if you weren't alive or in this world. At the moment where they thought about you, they could be thinking about preparing dinner and 5 minutes from then, they might start to make dinner. Since you weren't on their mind, they started doing something else.
To me, this means that you make an impact in this world. This means that you change the world in small ways, and that you are important in this world. This isn't the only way where you can make an impact in this world by having someone think about you. Maybe you say "hi" to someone and they say "hi" back to you. That is making an impact in this world. Or perhaps you pick up garbage in a park and you throw it away. Who knows? Maybe someone else was going to pick that piece of garbage up. This is why I am very grateful of being in this world because if I wasn't here, life would be different and it means that I am important in life and that I now get to see the joyfulness of the trees, birds, family, friends, etc. This is also why you should be grateful for being in this world, too.
2/17/18 - This week's blog I wanted to write a small poem about positivity. This is just a way to express my feelings towards being positive.

Positivity. The word that goes through everyone's head at one point. The word where you think that you have no more and you just give up. The word that also brightens your day by guiding you through the darkness, but what is it? What is positivity? Is it a word that gives you strength? Or a word that makes you say that you have none? Positivity is a strong word. What type of person are you? Are you the one that tries to do it, but gives up when you realize that things just come naturally? Or the one who does it right by showing a small act of kindness each and every day? Positivity. The type of act you see happen and makes you smile. It makes you see the world in a way where you just want to be appreciative. You just want to be grateful for the things that are around you. You can't help, but smile and think to yourself, "What a wonderful day it is to be alive". It tells you to live your life the fullest each and every day. It never stops going a way. It never ends. And it never dies. Positivity. The word that makes you say "Thank you, world".
2/25/18 - This week's blog I wanted to say how a small act of kindness is all it can take to brighten someone's day.

The act of kindnesses in the world are unbelievable. It is so amazing how a tiny act of kindness can change your day completely; in a good way. Let me break it down for you. "A" stands for appreciative. In the words "Act Of Kindness", it means that when you change someone's day, it can either be in a good way or not so much in a good way. It doesn't take an army, a 999 word essay, or a diamond ring to brighten the way someone feels. It can be short. You don't have to go all out to have something be perfect. If you get 2nd place rather than 1st, yes you can be disappointed that you didn't get first, but it doesn't take much to make someone appreciative that they at least got in second place. Appreciative in an act of kindness means that you exceed the way you're feeling and brighten someone's day completely.

In an act of kindness, "C" stands for compel. When you compel, it means to stand over and to take over. In an act of kindness, when you compel, you take over the horrible feelings away and you make the "sun" in sunshine. If someone walked up to a cranky woman and gave them a rose, you would be compelling over the crankiness and doing a small act of kindness. You compel. You stand strong. You do what's best. And you never back down.

The last one is "T". The "T" stands for treasures. The treasures in a small act of kindness would be the wonders of making someone else happy and joyful. The treasures would be seeing the other person not be let down and bring their happiness to 10 out of 10. Some people might not be able to see the treasures in one small act of kindness, but people should because it is the nice thing about compelling someone's emotions to joyfulness. Treasures in one can be shown in many different ways, but when I see a small act of kindness, the "A" stands for appreciative, the "C" stands for compel, and the "T" stands for treasures. Act. The word that can give hope and love. A small act of kindness.
4/8/18 - This week's blog I wanted to express my feelings from this past week.

This past week was really special to say the least. First of all, I went to see family out of town for a couple of days. It was wonderful seeing them because we haven't seen each other in so long. As we were there, we went to see a hit show called Hamilton about Alexander Hamilton. I can't even express how amazing it was. It was so unbelievable to see a life in the eyes of a founding father of the United States. He really kept his guard up and the show was really inspiring. As well as seeing Hamilton, some of my other family arrived to see us. My cousins, aunt, and uncle stayed for a few days and was so much fun! We did so many activities and I am so grateful. I was very grateful that I got to experience so much because it was more than I could ask for. I would love to do this again and just wanted to say how grateful things can be if you make them to be.
4/18/18 - This week's blog, I wanted to express my feelings toward people who get me inspired in a way telling them "Thank You".

Now, in my everyday life I will see people that I get inspired by. Not all of the people are famous and known for doing big things in the world, but more so the people around me currently. My parents for example, they inspire me everyday to make good choices and show me what my life awaits. Other people are my best friends. I have best friends that inspire me to do great and they show me how I should feel. They communicate differently than anyone else and they are inspiring. Another one are fellow people in my life that I don't necessarily know that well. One person is someone I see on the weekdays. They are inspiring because I know they are going through a hard time right now, but they STAY STRONG. They STAY STRONG even though they think they don't feel right, when they feel like crying in misery. Yes, people can inspire you even when you don't know that well. So, Thank you.
Thank you for being who you are. You make you, even when you don't feel that you are inspiring. Stay who you are because it is more than you think...
5/2/18 - This week's blog I wanted to express my feelings towards community services.
Community services are small acts of kindness that stand out to you. They can be anything.
For school, I did a community service project where you could pick a problem that either happens where we live or in any part of the world. There were many I could've picked and I didn't do the strongest problem, but I chose the problem for homeless animals. For this problem, I was expressing my thoughts on why this is a very bad problem. For my community service, I had the thought of doing something small. I decided to write a 2 minute speech on why animals should be treated nicely and with better care.

Now, I didn't do anything huge like spending 5 hours in an animal shelter. It didn't matter whether it stood out more when you did something big. This way, I think it stood out more writing a speech rather than going to a shelter because I let out the word. And I was proud of myself. I was more proud what I did, make a speech.

Sometimes, it can mean more when you do something small. So, what I got from this experience was not to always go big because in the end, it doesn't always mean more.

5/17/18 - This week's blog I wanted to write what I think the quote, "Before Alice got to Wonderland, she had to fall" means and why I think it is important to understand.

The quote, "Before Alice got to Wonderland, she had to fall" is one of my favorite quotes of all time. Here's why:
One thing about life is that you should always understand that there will be obstacles in your way and that you need to persevere through life to get what you want. A lot of people in this world have troubles not thinking of what they need to do to get what they want. They simply don't understand that everyone else in this world needs to do the same thing as them and try to get their reward.

When I look at the quote, "Before Alice got to Wonderland, she had to fall" I think it means that even a perfect girl needs to fall and learn to fight through obstacles. Before Alice got to what she seemed was amazing and spectacular, she had to fall through the hole and find a way to get there first.
6/1/18 - This week's blog I wanted to express what I think the quote, "Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen" means and what I think about it.
The quote, "Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen" is one of my favorite quotes. I think this because I love positivity! Being positive is a very important thing to do because it keeps you feeling well and is healthy for the mind.

I also think that this is a great quote because it is something that everyone should do. It is very true that people should do this everyday. Some people don't and feel terrible. Even if it is an early morning or you feel sick, don't think that you will get hurt or keep feeling sick because it isn't worth it. If you thought that something bad was always going to happen, then you might make it out to be that something terrible does happen. On the other hand, if you think that something amazing is going to happen, then your mind automatically sets off the alarm for something great to happen!
